Toy decluttering and organization in our living room and children's rooms. We got rid of more than 75% of our children's toys a few years ago and it has transformed our life! It's easier to keep our living areas tidy and in order, and our children don't miss the excess toys at all! I talk about how I keep toys at a minimum in our home and what questions I ask myself when considering buying/keeping toys. I also touch upon electronic devices and screen time!

Omgosh my husband and I were Christmas shopping for nieces & nephews once and I came across a Heihei stuffed animal from Moana that, when you squeezed it, made his screechy rooster noise! I laughed my head off and promptly said, "Oh man, Jen would kill me" 😂
Always gotta think about the parents when buying presents!
When you talked about stuffed animals and imagination I smiled and thought of all the different stories abd settings my brother and I made up for our stuffed animals, our dolls and figurines, and the lego people. So much fun.

Wow this is cool! My wife and I do not have children but we have been talking about how we are going to manage situations like this. We really want to spend time teaching our kids to be grateful and even maybe buy a toy for them and give a toy away to someone in need for Christmas. Great video you give excellent advice and it’s pretty funny

This was very helpful. My kids have WAY too many toys and I feel like maybe I'll tackle the initial purge when they aren't home to avoid my eldest getting really upset and hide what I pull in the laundry room or something 🤔 Our home was built pre-closets so I don't have a great spot where he won't find and scatter everything again. 🤷‍♀️ Definitely going to figure it out

We definitely love our magnatiles. We also have a fort building kit which they use constantly. We also have a lot of board games. I am trying to get rid of stuff that either has a lot of pieces or that has logos and characters. Like disney barbies. I prefer generic barbies because they can be Elsa. But my kids usually just make Elsa do whatever happens in the movie. I like Legos but I feel like the new lego kits have such weird pieces and it is harder to use their imaginations.

Lol! “It’s a week day, no one said come over.” My one year old grandson has been given so many loud flashy plastic toys. I would get rid of all but one if I was my kids.

I’m currently drowning in toys and that’s why I’m here. lol BUT I have a summertime Lego hack. We found a great deal on a huge bin of legos for my 4 and 1 year old. They’re on the porch. They can only play with them on the porch while it’s still warm outside. It’s been AMAZING. They play for so long and are more prone to put them back in the bin after. Gets us all some air and I can veg out in a chair and fantasize about throwing away all the other toys. Jk…kind of. 😂
