If Ripple pays the 125 million dollar fine and the S.E.C. accepts the deal then the case is settled. There can't be an appeal because both parties have aggreed to the settlement. The only other thing remaining would be to close the case with prejudice. I can't image the possibility of Ripple's attorneys being dumb enough to settle the case without prejudice.

We all owe Ripple so much for them defending the whole of crypto in the U.S. Literally if they had lost, then crypto adoption in the U.S. would of been hurt badly. The rest of the world fine, but the U.S. would of been hammered.

The SEC has 60 days from the date of the court’s ruling to file an appeal in the Ripple case. This is standard for federal cases, allowing either party to appeal a decision within this time frame. If the SEC decides to appeal, the case would then move to a higher court for review.
