Boardwalk for certain for me. Had a trip there a number of years ago with my sister and her family, too. Kids were all in middle and high school (7 kids in total). We waited in the lobby for a bit for our rooms to be ready and will never forget the kids exploring and also making fun of my brother in law who managed to fall asleep in a fairly busy lobby. Memories I will never forget! We own there, too, so I am definitely biased. But we love the Boardwalk.❤

Never stayed over there. I always stay poly or contemporary. Several years between trips and I think to try epcot area, but I can’t. I just have to be at magic kingdom area. Lol

The thing is…the ambience at Boardwalk and the memories from it, are just unbeatable. The lights, the walking down the boardwalk, the live entertainment make it an experience you won’t forget. I think that is what make Boardwalk better than Beachclub-hands down.

The 2 resorts are so close in just about every way. This includes being able to utilise the amenities at either regardless of which one you're staying at. The difference for us when getting a contract was Stormalong Bay. If being able to use that pool matters to you, go Beach Club. Otherwise Boardwalk is probably the choice as it's slightly less expensive and has the option of a room on the boardwalk if that's your thing.

Such a great episode! A topic that our fam discusses often. Bought BCV before opening, but BWV is great. I can’t decide and I never will. Love them both!

We own at neither. Our 18yr home resort is Saratoga Springs is our least favorite, but it’s easy to get and it’s less points during Xmas week there. Last month, we went to Cape May for the first time ( didn’t notice the offending smells people talk about, maybe I lucked out) and then walked the loop around the boardwalk, Beach Club, etc., and just about 3 1/4’s of the way back to the Boardwalk, it started to rain heavily. And yes, we had our mickey poncho’s tucked nicely in the drawer back at the hotel. Hubby can’t run, so we were drenched and found an empty bench overlooking the water by a hut (I think by the boat rentals). It was dry, with an overhang overlooking the bay, the boardwalk, everything. It was like a hidden gem. No one around. And when it cleared, we had the best looking sky, and we caught glimpses of the fireworks. In Disney lingo: it was magical. Derek mentioned getting a room with boardwalk view @ the Boardwalk to hang out at night on the balcony, and that sounds perfect. Thanks for reminding us those little tidbits we forget from time to time. And resort hopping when you don’t have park tickets has become my favorite thing to do now that I just turned 60. And I did see the new hot dog stand is opened through another u-tuber.

I recently stayed at the Beach club resort and I timed how long it took me get from my room to the International Gateway entrance. It was only 8 minutes! Beach Club has amazing convenience. I'm going to look for the Red Baron Mexican pizza when I grocery shop at Giant Eagle tomorrow. I hope that they carry it.

We have stayed at both resorts. We loved Beach Club by far!

One of my favorite DisneyWorld memories is going to Stormalong Bay with my family and my mother-in-law (who never gets hers hair wet) stepping into the lazy river, thinking it was like 4ft deep, only to disappear into the watery depths! I almost fell in myself, laughing so hard.

Thanks for the show all and Jeff for triggering the good memory. 👍🏻 😂

We were at Bay Lake Tower during that same storm, and it made a big impression on me, as well. Orange County had implemented a "shelter in place, " and the CM's were telling us that "technically, " we weren't supposed to leave the building. Even so, we opted to tempt fate and made our way across the bridge to the Contemporary. They had a similar buffet in Steakhouse 71 - incredibly reasonable. The characters were walking around on the Grand Canyon Concourse, as well. But - presumably because of the county restrictions - they also set up a "quick mart" in a room on the first floor of Bay Lake Tower, where we could buy sandwiches and snacks at VERY "non-Disney" prices!! All-in-all, Disney did a *fabulous* job during that storm - especially considering that so many of those Castmembers were likely preoccupied with concerns for their own families and houses during the storm!!

They are both super popular DVC resorts so really it’s like choosing from the top. Can’t go wrong with either one.

I love at the 41:45 mark when Panda’s Italian side came out. keep the pasta separated. Also, Panda. Best “gravy” on Disney property? 👀

So funny. We also were in Disney World Labor Day weekend 2019. That was one of the best trips we had. We did go to the parks Sunday and drove home that night to avoid the hurricane, but the crowd levels were amazing that weekend.
Also we owned Boardwalk and sold years ago because, well life. We just bought resale again this time at Beach Club. I love the area regardless. We did find ourselves walking to Beach Club more for other options, particularly for breakfast. Either way, can't go wrong.

Another cool thing you could mention is that you should rent a pontoon boat by the pier at beach club and yacht club to watch Luminous The Symphony of Us. You get to fit 10 people on the pontoon boat and you don’t need tickets to Epcot so it’s a good late night thing to do if you’re staying at the beach club or yacht club. It’s a reasonably priced for Disney and they give you drinks and snacks.

Thank you so much for this video. I've been considering buying one of them, but haven't been able to decide which one.

I love both its hard to find a small points contract for either at this point. I was lucky enough to get a Beach Club contract via resale last May and love it. I just wanted to own in the area Boardwalk would have been better due to points per night being cheaper but Im happy with Beach Club. As long as I was in the boardwalk area and can walk to Epcot I am happy! Having only 18 years left on the contract was a plus I don't feel locked in and to me thats still a long time think of it as having a new kid and all the way until they graduate high school. Thats still a long time to own :)
