The Java collections framework provides a set of interfaces and classes to implement various data structures and algorithms.

Collection interface: A Collection represents a group of objects known as its elements. The Collection interface is used to pass around collections of objects where maximum generality is desired.

Collections Class: Collections class is one of the utility classes in the Java Collections Framework. The java. util package contains the Collections class. Collections class is basically used with the static methods that operate on the collections or return the collection.
