Sony ZV1 Review: Definitely Not DESIGNED For Vloggers

We got some footage with the Sony ZV1. Sony claims this camera is designed for vlogging. In today's video I'll show you quite the opposite. It's the same lens that the original RX100 used. Nothing about this camera screams vlogging. But still, with the right tweaks, you can get some decent footage, it's just nowhere near the best vlogging camera and this is the 3rd time Sony has marketed a camera for vlogging which has none of the important features we need like a wide angle lens and smooth stabilization.

It's good to see someone actually point out the ridiculous marketing from Sony.

Most of the larger YouTube channels who got sent this free of charge are saying "This is the best vlogging camera in the world", whilst failing to mention the crop, lack of weather sealing and lack of type C connection. Very few mentions of the price either as they got it sent free of charge.

I still have an RX100 III. I am a fan of the RX100 series, but the reason every vlogger was choosing a G7 X camera was because of the crop and improved autofocus. Why didn't they put a 16-70 equivalent in here so that we could get a proper field of view?

To their credit, autofocus does seem good here, but stabilisation does not look amazing. It's improved by using the grip or a selfie-stick, but holding the camera directly does not seem like a good option.

I'm still on the fence with it as I am looking for a portable shooting solution (my Canon M50 is a bit too bulky for my liking).

Loved this video and review. Super great to have someone offer this footage, job well done Guillermo! Some good results especially focus. Those earlier stabilization examples were definitely not good. Lots of great points made, pros and cons, thanks Kasey!

I liked that it focused quickly to the subject when he put the object close without any effort great switch on feature! most youtube videos I've seen demoing products fail at that point.

it's designed for not your kind of vloggers, but average kind of vloggers. and that's pretty good. only lens give em a year or two to get their money back for that R&D
