A man has shared his special bond with a giant bird the size of an Alsatian and a wingspan of 10 feet.

They say dogs are a man's best friend but James Faulconbridge is best pals with a bird the same size as one - giant Andean Condor Rosie.

Bird-mad James has reared six-year-old Rosie - the largest species of bird of prey in the entire world - since she was a chick.

And the pair are often spotted walking together around Warwick - causing some double takes.

I’ve actually gone to this show when I was a teen. I was actually able to reach out and touch one of the birds. A harpy eagle. It’s was the coolest and largest bird I’ve ever seen.

This is such a cool story. Btw, in the UK birds of prey are also used to ward off birds from airfields, as well. You can see falcons, hawks and even owls. Cool fact, owls can track two targets simultaneously.
