What the Resurrection Means

I wanted to highlight some of my favorite verses around the resurrection and what it means for you and I personally besides Jesus rising again. That's amazing. He defeated death, He rose again. But what does that mean? Well, we were also resurrected with Christ. Romans 4:25 says that because Jesus was delivered over, because He was raised, He was actually raised for our justification. Justification means you're made right with God. So, because of the resurrection, we are made right with God. We're children of the resurrection. Because Jesus was raised again, He was raised again so that we could be raised to new life, so that we could have justification, so that we could be made right with God.

Good timing. Just posted one similar earlier this evening. Love it when God The Father does stuff like that!

"Interesting how if there were no such thing as the Resurrection...

Pick a topic in Christianity...any topic whatsoever...go as far down the timeline of history as desired...it literally doesn’t matter.

All for naught.

The odds of that actually happening? About

ROMANS 5:10 (NLT)

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:12-19 (NLT)

But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead? For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.
