Giannoula K, Plimiri Wreck diving Rhodes, Greece

Показать описание
The Giannoula K sank at 35.919390, 27.856596 in 1981 after running aground on a voyage from Antalya. It lies at a depth of 22m. In the video at 0:11 you can see a map of the wreck that we drew. As the hull on the port side of wreck is torn as indicated on the map it can be quite confusing to know in which compartment of the shiop you are in once you entered the wreck. We also included the two masts of the ship which have collapsed to the starbord side. They make orientation a lot easier. The two chimneys which still stand vertical and on which the buoy and rope is fixed are the last remains of the housing and navigation bride that once were part of the ship as you can see on the photos. With arrows we showed at which places it is possible to enter the wreck. Make sure to check out the spare propeller found at the back of compartment number 4. Behind the propeller there is also another room that you can enter. When you enter the engine room through compartment number 4 as shown on the map you get to see the work bench, and the drilling machine. If you descend the stairs and turn into the right corridor you will find the machine telegraph. You can also enter the engine room through a hole in the deck and through compartment number 3. Both alternative entries are also marked on the map.
