You mentioned possibly doing a best Henry the Eight countdown to number one, please do so we can all consider which portrayal gives us the best interpretation of one of the most recognizable and roughish monarchs to rule England.

I was waiting to see the movie before watching your analysis. I have fond memories of Haddon Hall and enjoy seeing it on film. I agree that Jude Law is one of the best Henrys we've seen. The film also might assume that the audience already knows who is who in this court and time. My husband kept asking me who everyone was.
