I don't like how this is supposed to be a beginners guide and you're regularly saying, "everyone knows". No. Everyone doesn't know; that's why I came to a beginners guide.

sovereign are by far the best as in many countries they are capital tax exempted. Also easy to sell, all dealers know what is. Cant really go wrong with it.

Just started adding gold to my stack, and already have .9oz.
Dont always assume though that numismatic coin premiums will “always” be there. There are definitely coins
that are popular at one point that arent later. I was buying and selling First Day Issue SP70 50th Anniversary Silver Krugerrands
and getting $150-180 each. Today those same coins are selling for $100.
I did good, but still something to learn from

While fractional coins are great for the small private/home investor the markup on 1/10th ounce and lower IMHO is just too high - even for the casual investor saving for his old age or securing some money for worse times. Quarter ounces seems a much better choice with only very marginal price difference for 4 quarters vs 1 full - which for the casual investor is negligible. Amounting to only 1/3 of a gram of the spot price for gold (for me locally at the time of writing) where as buying 1 ounce of 1/10th Krugerrand's costs even more than buying 4 quarters and a 1/10th - 1/10th more gold for even a little less than buying in 1/10th's - quite a significant amount. So IMHO don't go lower than quarters. Minting quality on quarters is usually a little better too if you like nice coins :)

Nice video. It's always a pain trying to explain to people what some of the not so common coins are when selling. Seems like everyone knows what eagle's, maple's and kruggerrand's are.

I'm getting the 1/10th oz gold britannia as I'm from UK. I seen I can put them in a tube from the Royal mint or put them in caps. What should I do is it better if I put them in tubes or caps?

Firstly, Strong intro .👍
Beautiful coins, I really enjoy looking at them but my Brain will not allow me to buy them.
I walk into my local shop with the intention of getting some but always walk out with a 1 oz gold bar with the lowest premium.
I guess I am just really tight and just want to reduce my stack cost price Average . Thanks
