No, he doesn't compare to Ruth. Ruth also was one of the greatest pitchers of his time, winning the ERA title one year and getting 2 rings as a pitcher. Then he spent 2 years as a pitcher AND outfielder going 22-12 with a 2.55 ERA over those seasons and as a hitter leading the league in HRs both years including breaking the MLB record for HRs in a season (more than 10 of 16 TEAMS!). That's all BEFORE he became a batter full time and added an additional 665 HRs with a .347 BA for the rest of his career.

No comparison. Maybe if Brady also had a few years playing defense at an all-star level there might be a conversation.
