A lot of people wear ear buds. Some people like to hear the music THEY want, not what radio stations want. Almost all drivers these days wouldn't know the sounds their cars make and couldnt care less. P

Well, a lot of people wear them listening to music as well as other things. Its not necessarily a stretch for the officer to think thats what they were. A simple explanation to the officer would have ended the whole misunderstanding. Is your first thought when you see airpods on someone that they're hearing aids? I think not.
