When the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) stated that "There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, or of a non-Arab over an Arab, and no superiority of a white person over a black person or of a black person over a white person, except on the basis of personal piety and righteousness.”, it is clearly understood that you cant make another human being submissive to you on ang ground.

Furthermore, how does one justify a hadith like this:

Muslim 8:3432
At the Battle of Hanain Allah's Messenger sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them. Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah's Messenger seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists. Then Allah, Most High, sent down regarding that: "And women already married, except those whom your right hands possess (iv. 24)"

I don't think you watched the video, if you did, re-watch it and pay attention.

Even alcohol initially wasn't forbidden, some companions had alcohol in them when praying at a time until it came to a point where it gradually got forbidden.

This was in progression

As for your last comment "If we can think of right and wrong, why have religious morality?"

Because then it would then be relative and not "objective"

What's the problem you see with the hadith, keep in mind this was specific 2 them

Marriage of young girls and slavery have nothing to do as a compulsory of religious practise. It was just a practise of the people of old.

If slavery is immoral (which it is, beyond a shadow of a doubt), why couldn't Allah (in his last message!!!) have made it possible for a situation where the muslim society could exist without slavery? Despite obvious difficulties, the prohibition of many other things were made such as interest (which was also bad for the economy) - why couldn't the same be done with slavery? Furthermore, if we can through our minds figure out what is right and wrong, then what is the point to religious morality?

Thanks for answering my question. I was confused on this topic for a while.

So basically, Islam ALLOWED slavery BUT it gave rules on how to treat them ethically. *Sigh* Lets try this now days during war. If the United States took the captured Taliban or al-qaida as slaves, than everyone would be in uproar. Even if they are treated nicely, why have slavery to begin with?! It is NOT outlawed in Islam. It just given a bunch of rules. And what about he women sex slaves. Islam says you can have sex with your wives AND with whatever your right hands possess
This means women captured from war or basically women slaves. Search if up please :)

this is a poor excuse for justifying continuation of slavery." being noble would cause our enemies to attack..." but aren't you the messenger of god? why would he allow you to be defeated because you followed his "will"?
