Super dangerous advice holding hands out against a blade

You can also use feints very effectively..however, you must use some body (shoulders and hips) rotation to generate the forces needed.. not only the arm. It's the same with punches.

Why not attack the hand with the blade first instead of the hand without the blade. It is theoretically possible but practically you don't know how the opponent is going to move. I would first go for the hand with the knife so that the danger is eliminated and then slap the rest of the body and run for my own safety. I'm looking forward to your answer, greetings Yann

I use my telescopic baton beforehand using pepper spray on the attacker, and to stop the attack I knock out of the hands of the attacker an object with which he moves on me, I have been practicing Aikido for 11 years, I am familiar with the techniques of Kravmaga Aikido is very similar to Kravmaga, Kravmaga is much more extensive, and more detailed deals with those or other cases of self-defense. I use Czech ESP Telescopic baton, I bought the biggest 26 inches, also I use only quality pepper spray from German manufacturer Pfeffer Ko Fog, I use 100 ml spray cans, I carry 4 pepper spray cans on a chest bag from the company 5. 11.11, I carry the canisters in specialized pouches for pepper canisters, I also have a very good taser with an anti-grip handle, I use the taser against aggressive stray dogs, I come from Ukraine, it is very difficult for ordinary civilians to acquire short-barreled weapons, so I use starter short-barreled weapons, I have 5 starter short-barreled pistols.

Baton for life in my experience.
Sometimes, you just need to show the handle and let the attacker know you're aware and ready to fight.
I successfully de-escalate a situation when some guys started following me and my girlfriend too close, I showed the holstered baton and look at them like "I know your intention, I'm ready to fight, don't mess with us". They walked away while my girlfriend didn't notice the whole situation.

I love to use it to put space between me and the attacker, I did fencing in my childhood (sabre) and it comes natural for me using a baton😂

Please make a video on if you wear glasses and you end up in fight. Do you keep them on or loose them to fight? Big issue for people with glasses.

Makes perfectly good sense to me. The baton is mightier the knife, when used in the exact manner as you described. Thank you.

Can low kicks give distance against the knife attack? Also can the low kicks be integrated with the baton strikes?

Cool video. I used to do some martial art where we used some type of baton in the same way. The instructor had been a cop for a few years

A stick is an extension, don't let your opponent come in to close, that defeats the purpose of the stick!

when he use his hand as a shield you could hit his wrist, it was hurt like hell and it could cripple someone if they take enough hit

why not groin kick or striking right to the eye using baton? why not dirty fight?

1:18 - you probably don't want to recommend people strike the head with a baton, as that can be lethal.

I heard that a diagonal swipe, which would hit a hand and a leg, preferably the knee, would be insanely effective. How viable is it actually?

If the attacker is armed with smth like knife, I feel like the first important thing is to disarm him/her and baton would be a great kit doing it
