Former Pakistan president, Pervez Musharraf, has died in Dubai after a long illness at the age of 79. He was a key ally in the US-led war on terror.

Pervez Musharraf, the former president of Pakistan under whose leadership thousands of people with no links to terrorism were literally sold-off to the US Government as part of the “War on Terror”.

Musharraf himself said in his book “In the Line of Fire” that he was proud to have sold off people whom he referred to as “terrorists” off to the US Government. Almost every single one of these “terrorists” actually has been proven to have no links to terrorism, after decades of torture in Guantanamo Bay, Bagram Prison, etc.

He has also admitted giving permission for the CIA to launch drone attacks inside Pakistan, killing thousands of civilians.

‎پاکستان کے سابق صدر پرویز مشرف طویل علالت کے بعد 79 سال کی عمر میں دبئی میں انتقال کر گئے، وہ دہشت گردی کے خلاف امریکی قیادت میں جنگ میں اہم اتحادی تھے۔

‎ پرویز مشرف، پاکستان کے سابق صدر جن کی قیادت میں ہزاروں افراد جن کا دہشت گردی سے کوئی تعلق نہیں تھا، ’’دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ‘‘ کے ایک حصے کے طور پر امریکی حکومت کے ہاتھ بیچ دیے گئے۔

‎ مشرف نے خود اپنی کتاب ’’ان دی لائن آف فائر‘‘ میں دعویٰ کیا ہے کہ انہیں اس بات پر فخر ہے کہ وہ جن لوگوں کو ’’دہشت گرد‘‘ کہتے تھے انہیں امریکی حکومت کے ہاتھ فروخت کر دیا۔ گوانتانامو بے، بگرام جیل وغیرہ میں کئی دہائیوں کی اذیتوں کے بعد ان میں سے تقریباً ہر ایک کا دہشت گردی سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہونا ثابت ہو چکا ہے۔

‎ اس نے سی آئی اے کو پاکستان کے اندر ڈرون حملوں کی اجازت دینے کا اعتراف بھی کیا ہے جس میں ہزاروں شہری مارے گئے تھے۔
