Oh man! Thanks for putting this video up! I read about a permit online which was gonna be $35 for the application plus shipping. After reading carefully I noted that that site wasn’t valid for Japan even tho I got it from a Japan planning site!!!! Lol

Not only is this cheaper, but I can walk into my local office & get a permit. TY TY TY!!!!

That's really cool. If I ever go to Japan I'm going to rent a r32 gtr, nsx, and a gr corolla since I have a friend that has those and never let's me drive them.

I believe another benefit of having the ETC card for tolls is that the toll fee is cheaper compared to if you pay by cash at the booth.

You mentioned even if you have insurance through a credit card there is still a charge for full coverage. About how much did that cost? I typically rent but use only the credit card coverage which covers as my primary coverage in the U.S allowing me to bypass my personal insurance.
