I always thought real estate commissions were a money grab rip off. I chose to buy my home without a agent and it saved me and the seller thousands! They are are not needed at all especially with all the online tools. Even these lower flat rate commissions are a money grab, an agent is NOT needed to purchase a home or sell a home. The main thing is to have an inspection done if you are buying.
