EU4 Ramazan is probably my least favourite nation in EU4. I really despise playing as this nation and I'd honestly rather do anything else than suffer through it again. This is not one of the best nations in eu4, consider this an EU4 Guide to suffering. The EU4 ottomans make our lives miserable as we ally with the mamluks - we had an excellent start but MY GOD does it take a turn.

I will NEVER play as this nation again.

A lot of players dont know that but iqta gov type has an event for long regencies. Obviously as it blocks you having consorts, if you were to get a regency over 5 years an event pops up and gives you a ruler of the same dynasty. Most likely its a cousin or a distant relative, which is historically authentic for iqta govs.

When will you continue the Byzantium to Rome game, Laith?

Surprisingly, i have played Ramazan. I find it relatively easy, because its the only turkish minor that can ally the ottomans (sometimes). So if you get the alliance, you can blitz karaman alone and lock the ottomans out of their mission tree while keeping them as a friend. You use em to pummel the mamluks, replace mamluks, betray ottoblob, badabing badaboom youre Rum

It would be nice if there was something for the Beyliks. Like if the Ottomans start in a disaster like “The Abdication of Murad” and if it fires they release the Beyliks on the Asia Minor Coast as well as Eretna, which then triggers another disaster, “The Christians rise up”, which causes them to release their European holdings, knocking them back down to the 1399 territory. But you can avoid these disasters by having 2 stab & Conquering Constantinople. They could also use a better mission tree that varies depending on the path of tolerance or intolerance. Turkish also needs to be placed back in its own culture group and Arab revolt events should be added, the same with their European holdings.

1:03 shock damage received is better!
It's basic maths.

Im not gonna explain it too well because I'm tired but:

The difference between 90 and 100 is 11.1 percent
Compared to the difference between 100 and 110 which is 10%
Shock damage received therefore means that the damage you deal is 1.1 percent higher in comparison to shock damage dealt
Hopefully that makes sense

I love watching the hard-fought victories, but my god, no. Just no. That campaign seems utterly evil.

This is what getting the adviser you want once gets you not a single good event.

I don't know what it is, but playing the beyliks is always a miserable experience. Constant terrible events, trashy heirs, a horrible economy, and useless allies. I wonder if there's some hidden modifier that makes sure the beyliks don't get too powerful so that the Ottomans can conquer them without any trouble.

Honestly the awfulness of this campaign just makes me want to watch you get revenge on the Ottomans

I actually recommended doing Ramazan on the Zorastian video although I doubt you saw it.

I played some Ramazan campaign after watching this video, and saw one of the small countries do a big brain play. After i defeated Karaman and Aq Qoyunlu, I forced Aq to break alliance with ottomans. A few moments later the Mamluks forced Karaman to break alliance with Aq Qoyunlu in plans to attack Aq, but Aq then just sold the province to Mamluks to avoid a war they were obviously going to lose.
