In my opinion, this was one of my big surprises of movies released in 2023. I remember seeing this movie in theaters on Christmas Day with my family and I thought the film was gonna be okay at best, but I ended up loving it. Then again, this is directed by the same guy that brought us the Paddington movies.

I went into this not even knowing it was a musical and within 4 minutes I’m watching dozens of people dancing and singing with umbrellas and canes and I’m literally crying with happiness. This has become one of my most loved films of all time. ❤

I was pretty excited for this movie when seeing trailers for it. Looked magical.

The final film was heartfelt, hilarious and it moved me to tears by the end. It felt like a beautiful tribute to the book and a great nod to the 70s film.

The songs were incredible and got me emotionally invested in the characters. I absolutely adore the film. Definitely one of my favourite films from last year where there were so many great ones.

Wonka is my favourite film from 2023 5 stars and 10 out of 10, I saw it at the Cinema on Saturday 9th December, really like listening to the soundtrack on CD & Digital with my favourite song being You've Never Had Chocolate Like This and will definitely be getting it on Blu-Ray and DVD
