just like any historic event, a reddit thread about how much the editor sucks continues to have an impact long after its conclusion. in other words, the editor still sucks. but it's getting better!

i feel like an osu!rewind or osu!wrapped (like spotify wrapped) would be something neat for the community to look forward to every year, so many statistics are recorded already why not give a little compilation for players to share with each other each year.

Please release an updated version of tag mode at some point, would love to see the possibility of playing tag maps with more than just 4 teams

Haven't played osu! for a while, but just wanna say thank you to ppy, the dev team, and all other support/moderation stuff currently working on the game. It's rare to find devs that are so active and have such an easy, direct line of communication with the community, especially when some members of the community have treated them like shit for years. Big ups to the big men/women/peeps on the team, will continue to follow development even if I'm barely playing.

PLEASE add a "group by" sorting option for song select on top of the already present "sort by" option. It is a much needed feature that stable got amazingly right.

I really wish osu had a practice mode. As someone coming from clone hero where all you need to do is pause, hit practice and then you can go to any section of the song and easily speed up or slow down that practice section as you want, Osu practicing seems really annoying in comparison. From what little research I did, you need to literally create a whole new map with a specific speed if you want to practice a specific section. In clone hero, what I often did on sections I found hard was practice it at 50% speed till I could FC it a few times in a row, then I bump up the speed to 55% and keep increasing it until I aced the section at full speed or even higher speeds. I really want this practice because in osumania, I really want to practice a few chord changes that my fingers are having trouble with, but it is such a pain to do.

fun fact: ducking the volume based on another input is called sidechaining, it's used in many many tracks (electronic especially) to duck the instruments when the kick plays to make room for it (especially important with a fat kick mixed with a fat bass).

first of all, I would like to see better performance, for example a fully working vulkan renderer and fully optimized storyboards, then a working classic mod, then a working rate change, then a refreshed UI, then a much more functional skin editor, BUT not such secondary things (for the player) like map editor and daily challenge

Thanks so much for the continued development of osu! I don't play a lot anymore but this is one of my favorite games ever and the team really is a big part of it.
