Minecraft Cathedral Timelapse Build

On Monday 18th April 2011, Matt and Phil began a huge build on their sever in the town of Virtue.
The result? An awesome looking time lapse.

awesome minecraft structure aside, is anybody else impressed with the camera work in this video itself? i love how the sped up sky and stars rotate while the clouds scroll by in the day to night cycle

the key to this project is not the exterior, but a beautiful interior. I'm not religious, but cathedrals are perfect examples of outstanding architecture.

Dude this seriously is really awesome. On my server I do everything without cheats and it's very fun but I can't make stuff like this on that way, it will just take to long.

This video is one of the Minecraft untold legend I see people like to use the custom texture pack more than the original texture pack back then but now I see people rarely use guess most people really loved the new texture pack now

@Mxyzptlk246 Indeed. But this was our first big build with a timelapse and i wasn't sure how much storage spage i'd have on my harddrive if it recorded for longer than 4 hours which is actually how long it took us to build this.

I think the true essence of minecraft is on building a monument in the survival mode with your own hands.
The project im working now in is an aztec pyramid, is not really difficult to build, but im making it with sandstone and it takes me several time to collect it (adding that the base of the pyramid is 64 x 64)

@1p2o3i Yeah our sever has Worldedit on it which allows us to Copy and Paste some things, it just saves time more than anything, so i wanted to use it more in the timelapse for that reason + disk space. Atleast you know its even then. And yeah Portal 2 Co-op vids coming out every day until the co-op is finished.

@Leafall They'll be gardens...etc once the entire area is finished. In our weekly server video 'Minecraft Creations' we'll show that off aswell as the inside of the building.

@usaswim323 There is grass there now in the final build of the area. Little parks surrounding the cathedral it looks good.
