Lockdown: What is the government's exit strategy? | 20-Jan-21

Priti Patel has suggested the UK could be in lockdown for many more months and that there is no clear exit strategy.

Speaking to talkRADIO's Julia Hartley-Brewer, the Home Secretary said “We are in lockdown for a very good reason, but we have to look at it in parallel with the vaccination plan.

Julia asked Ms Patel if she was concerned “we are going to be in lockdown for many months to come and that there is no proper exit strategy,” to which the Home Secretary replied “no.”

The UK has reported the highest number of daily deaths since the pandemic started, 1,610 on Tuesday, as new data showed one in eight people are likely to have had the virus in England.

Obviously there is no plan. Even a potential target date would have been nice to know but let’s not worry about that, let’s just continue trying to guess what to do in business until there are no small businesses left.
