Wow - you just described my whole life. Frequently unable to accurately estimate how long it takes to do things, frequently late because of that, and always struggling to focus and finish tasks.

I use the pomodoro method for everything. Setting an alarm for every task helps

I have terrible time management. I try to do what in TV we call backtiming, where when you know what time you have to be ready for something you count the time backwards for every step in order to know when you have to start each step. It sounds obvious for most people, but even though I can mentally have all the steps needed already in my head, I rarely pay attention to how long each of them will take. By backtiming everything I can say to myself that I have start preparing for this at 2:00 pm. Once I get that time registered in my head I’m usually good to go for getting everything done on time.

Yes. But.
I had to organize the Christmas party. Going crazy in my head, but found sticky notes app two days before and placed colored sticky notes on my wallpaper/desktop per part (blue = grocery list etc.) This helped me better than any list I tried because I whiped 'not urgent' to the bottom every time.

The morning itself I procrastinated a bit 😡 but when I started to prepare I was like a train, seamless, fast, step by step and finishing. The moment I am this train I am hyperfocused and can't go any faster than this.
Looking at the clock doesn't make it go faster. It will only make me feel I am doing it wrong again because I will never be able to finish on time and fail.
When I don't look at the clock at this specific situation I feel fine and feel like I am accomplishing something great.
I was only 15 minutes late.

(Another thing I want to share is that my friends pick me up often to go have lunch or something. I told them 20 times, but they start to get now if they want me to step in their car at 2 p.m., they have to tell me they will pick me up at 1.45. This way they don't have to wait, because I focus and prepare for 1.45. And when they arrive at 2 p.m., I am a little late but they don't notice. Being late in this situation looks so ungrateful).

Well this explains my life. Lol
Some of the things i use are planners, journals, post-it notes, a magnetic calender/checklist that I put on my refrigerator, another one for my work area, digital clocks in a lot of places (even the bathroom when getting ready lol), etc. I do need a watch though! 💜

Yes I've realized this about myself, I use a timer to see how much time has passed

As an adhder who’s chronically early to everything I think I’m doing good ish, I make sure that I’ll never be late to anything by arriving 1hr to 30 min early :3

If I'm not at home I always wear watches otherwise I'm not aware of time and I feel like I'm missing a part of my hand.
Time just feels different.
At home I relax and live alone so there's no special urgencies that I need to resolve immediately so there's no need in hand watches as long as I have clocks on the wall.

Don't have ADHD, but never in my life have I been more disoriented than when all my time was tracked with devices. My brain felt loopy.
