Me and my friends would not agree on that. We are in our late 20's. It's does not only affect the older generation but it's even affecting the younger ones, cause we lost the sense of smell and some of my friends even lost sense of taste. Recovery rate of sense of smell takes a long period. It took me approximately 3 weeks to smell some few scents and coffee smell something like something burnt. It takes months to fully recover the sense of smell so please safe yourself and do yourself a favor by maintaining social distance and also wearing a mask and sanitizing everyday. Take care

I tested for covid positive only when i realised that i have completely lost my sense of smell and taste preceded by a mild fever for a day.
It has started freaking me out now, its crazy. Just imagine u r absolutely healthy but cannot sense smell or taste of anything.
I don't know when i am going to retain my senses back but i am glad that i haven't met serious symptoms.

If you lost ur sense of smell after cold. Don't worry its quite normal thing it will get back by itself gradually with in 4 to 5 days. I got cold and reduced. And after that i completely lost my sense of smell. For 3 days completely can't able to smell anything after cold nd i was frightened alot due to this bad pandamic. But by the grace of God automatically it returned asually i didnot do any remedy or anything. Now i can able to smell everything asually.

Could the Covid-19 test have something to do with it ? Could shoving a swab up your nose damage your sense of smell. I've heard of people complaining that they lost their sense of smell after taking the Covid-19 test.

It's been 5 days since I tested positive and lost taste and smell. 2 days before I had cold like symptoms and very mild body aches. Almost not noticeable because I just had knee surgery and am sore anyway. I hope it clears up soon but trying to be positive Im a very picky eater so now food has not taste I can eat healthier and it dosent taste like anything. It's very hard to explain not being able to taste or smell normal daily routine meals and things

I lost my smell completely and my taste partly. I didn’t realize my taste was as bad as it was. I made dinner and swore that it was bland. I thought I had bad seasoning. Turns out, I made a very salty meal and now I’m not sure if it’s even safe to eat.

I can eat an orange and it taste sweet but I couldn’t distinguish it from an apple or anything else sweet. 🤷‍♀️ Doritos taste like corn chips with pepper but no salt. Very powdery. Not being able to smell is strange too, kinda makes me oblivious to my surroundings. Leaving the stove on, breathing in Lysol fumes, can’t check food quality.
