Xi, Trump one-on-one US meeting in the works

The White House has announced that it is in the thick of preparations for a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US counterpart Donald Trump with concerns over the DPRK topping the agenda. It is a much-anticipated meeting that could go a long way towards smoothing things over between China and the US. According to media reports, Trump plans to host Xi at a two-day summit next month. On Monday, Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed the meeting but declined to announce a date. Could it set the tone of China-US ties under the Trump administration?
