Having worked with this Decor material for years on aircraft interiors, anything hot you place on the counter surface will cause the surface to delaminate and even bubble. Definitely not recommended for countertops.

Looks great, but vinyl on countertops is silly.

That stuff is for a cheap flip house. Don't do it anywhere, especially on the countertops! It will eventually just peel, bubble, etc.

Apart from your superb job, I love the design on the vinyl. It even makes the not so pretty backsplash look good.

I am not saying this to bash it or anything but have you seen work you've done a year or two later? How has it held up? I have seen so many different wrap type materials on cabinets that just peel so easily especially on areas by the sink, stove and cup/plate cabinet faces.. The result is beautiful but I just personally think if you're prepping them to the point they can receive this then it wouldn't be much more to completely refinish or if it's going on new just fabricste them with a slightly more expensive material. I'd love to know more about it though.

So you can cut the vinyl with a knife. Great for a kitchen work surface. OK yes use a knife block, but what when you drop something

Agree that it looks great and good application. Save yourself headaches. Don’t put on countertops!!

Great work! But grey on top of grey on top of more grey will date this kitchen. I would have picked another color for those cabinets. New Formica would last longer on those countertops.
