International Women's Day is held on March 8th every year, but it has gained special significance in the wake of Donald J. Trump's presidency. Here, 62 of fashion’s most recognizable faces, including models Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls, Hailey Baldwin, musician Travis Scott, and actress Sienna Miller, come together to read three simple, but powerful messages: “I am a woman,” “Please respect yourself, respect women,” and “Because women’s rights, are human rights.”

Executive Produced by Edward Enninful, Kloss Films, and Caroline de Maigret
Directed by Caroline de Maigret and Kelly Bales

It would be great if they were actually activists though, , , not just people who post a hashtag

How sad that when so many influential, strong and inspirational women are starring in the video such as Isabel Marant, Emmanuelle Alt, Carine Roitfeld and Caroline de Maigret - Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid are the two celebrities worth mentioning in the title. Well, I guess that is power in the fashion industry.

"respect yourself. respect women"
let's put two most followed names in the title and then call all these people celebrities because that's what really matters

"I am a Women"
NO SHIT
"Respect women"
YOU DON'T SAY
"Womens rights are human rights"
*sigh*

If you want to make a difference in Equality, getting a bunch of nameless celebrities repeating the same thing is not going to help you with that.
Happy Women's Day

It seems like many people have missed the point of the A Day Without a Woman general strike/International Women's Day.
IWD has been observed since the early 1900's, and has grown with the women's rights movement over the past century.
Now more than ever we are facing issues of (but not limited to):
violence & rape, racial injustice, defending reproductive rights, human trafficking/sex slavery, LBGQT rights, the gender wage gap, inadequate maternal & infant healthcare, representation of women in our government, body & slut shaming.

I'm lucky to work for a badass boss babe who closed her business for the day to take part. Women of past movements paved the way for progress to be made, and the work still isn't done. It is our responsibility to keep up the fight, today is about celebrating our accomplishments and boosting awareness of the multifaceted issues we still face.
Because women's rights are human rights, it's that simple.

Okay, I'm confused. Who is this video supposed to be talking to? Anyone who already does respect women's rights (no matter how you care to define the issue) doesn't need to be told to do what they're already doing. Meanwhile, anyone who doesn't isn't going to have their opinion changed by this. So who is this video aimed at, and what are they trying to accomplish with it?

respect is different than rights. respect is earned. rights are inherent. Respect is a precious currency that is great inflated and subsequently devalued when you say stupid shit like that. Everyone earns respect. period.

It' s disgusting. Using names in the title of those ones who are on the top right now just to catch attention is known in advertisement but disgusting when you're kinda wanna put some "deep" message in it about nowadays concerns. We know that everything turns around money but al least leave such a cheap trick as speculation on the title, it's old as a world.

This was released on International Womens Day. For whoever is asking why they released it or the point. Don’t bring in hate to a good cause or motive.

Also, they said: womens rights are human rights. Not womens rights is human rights. So men do include in human rights.
