Talk's Ian Collins is joined by political commentator Chloe Dobbs to discuss a range of issues dominating the headlines in the UK.

Ed Miliband has said he will not resign over the Heathrow expansion as he is blamed for hypocrisy. Chloe says his Net Zero targets are "absolutely bonkers" and "won't allow facts and common sense."

As well as this, the pair discuss the sentencing of 18-year-old Axel Rudakubana for the Southport murders. As more emphasis is put on how the tragic killings could have been avoided, Chloe says it's the "failure of authorities" and "kids these days are not socialised properly."

I said it at the time, during the Brexit negotiations, that if you will not compromise, then simple we will go with no deal. That would have been better than what we ended up with.

We proved to have a stronger economy structure as our growth increased and our inflation declined quicker than those in European Block.
They needed us more than we needed them. But we were not strong enough to demonstrate our resolve.

I only hope that when Reform UK get in, they actually show they have what it takes to put us back in a strong position on the global stage. I really hope they are not just spouting hot air like the Conservatives did.

Electricity price in China is 9p per KW/hr, because it's coal fired power stations, mostly the 400 million tons exported from carbon neutral Australia (cleverly, it's not burnt in Australia you see). I am sure Reeves brought this up in her recent visit and the 35% of global emissions China is responsible for? UK is 0.88%. I'll tell you now that zero won't be low enough for these special patients.

The UK battery policy says we need 30-35 GW of battery power for the grid by 2050. It also says we are currently building 96GW of capacity. The governments response to the fact were building 3 times the capacity we need - lets spend 38 billion on more battery sites. They are obsessed and don't let logic get in their way.
