My great grandfather on my dads side was a pilot at Pearl Harbor and through it all he survived.
He is no longer with us as he passed away years ago, but still I will always have that fighting spirit in my blood for every veteran.
I miss the smell of his fresh packed pipe, he was quietly reading in his chair, i was so young then and he was old yet his sense of humour and sarcasm made me feel forever young.
