My laptop hardly works, so I did it with an iPhone, USB adaptor and Memory Stick adaptor. Also installed the PSP Go clock Mod on my PSP 2000. Had a lot of fun with it. Oh, you could do it with an Android phone too.

If anybody sees the file as corrupted, make sure the file folder is capitalized. I had "update" instead of "UPDATE" and I could not figure out why the psp was showing the file as corrupted.

Sometimes with the usb settings enabled you'll have issues connecting it to your pc. To fix it just disable usb charge & usb autoconnect.

After i installed this jail break, note: if you have a Japanese imported PSP, with this jail break installed, at menu press select and you can change the o and x button to the ntsc standard configuration on your japanese imported psp

Is there a way to get it to still show the PSP Logo / Startup screen when opening a game? It doesn't do it anymore, just boots straight into the game.

It's a non issue I know, I just like it because..nostalgia. :P

UPDATE: Yes you can do it. On the home screen hit select > Recover Menu > Configuration and turn "skip game boot screen" off.

Can you still play UMD games after it's been modded?

All these steps are only needed for 8C models and newer. If the Date Code in the battery compartment of your PSP says 8B or older (8A, 7x, etc) you do not have to bother with Infinity. All you need are PRO folder and the cIPL folder from the Pro C2 zipfile and unpack them to the root->PSP->GAME folder on the memory card. Go to Games->memory card, run the Pro Update first, then run cIPL to make the mod permanent.
