In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, "Edge Of Seventeen." More platinum albums followed – ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).

In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years.

I met her once. She omits this light, I can’t even really describe it. It’s like being in the presence of an angel. I got very emotional. She is very kind, down to earth and LOVES her fans. This is one of my favorite and most underrated songs of hers. I used to play it on repeat in my car. I’ve been blessed to see her many times, with FM and solo. I’ve always been obsessed with her fashion sense. She’s more beautiful today than she was in the 70’s - and she has ALWAYS been stunning. Beautiful inside and out 💜

This is my song for my long dead husband. He always lit up a room and everyone was always happy to dee him. He was such a loving and special man, after 10 years I still cry for him every day. My soul for one more kiss with him!!

The 80's had music, cool clothes, and fabulous hair. Couldn't get better than watching Stevie sing this.

This song is beyond gorgeous. It doesn't even matter what she is singing: it's the entire vibe..magical.

My favorite solo tune of Stevie's. I wish it was played on the radio as much as her other stuff. Between the bass and the drums and the dreamy vocals and that gorgeous acoustic guitar, this song is a trip to wonderland each and every time i hear it.

When I was in high school in the late 80s, we would sometimes drive past a gorgeous home owned by Stevie Nicks. It sat at the base of Camelback Mountain, just off of Invergordon Street in Scottsdale, AZ. On weekend nights, we would often sit in the car at the top of the mountain, listening to Fleetwood Mac, looking out at the see of lights below coming in from Phoenix. Such a magical time. We used to dream about what life would be like when we got older. Now I just wish we could go back to that time in life.

The 80s was the best decade ever in my book. Just the right balance of family, fun, opportunity, and hope without all the drama. We had a taste of technology but we didn't choke on it like we do today.

I’ve heard it said that if you think the only good music was made when you were young, you’re not a fan of music, you’re a fan of nostalgia. When I hear this song, I think there’s something to that. While it’s a very beautiful song, the nostalgia factor is huge. I graduated high school in 1989 when this song was a hit and I can feel all those feelings all over again if I close my eyes, it’s almost like being there again. I simply cannot believe that 35 years have passed since I was that 17 year old kid.
