As of Phase 6 (Season 6) the developers have gifted some much needed upgrades to some OGs (Original Gangsters) that have been around since launch date. Are these upgrades better late than never? The Dan truck has just become a proper beast with that suspension upgrade. I use it as a heave crane vehicle so that suspension really helps.

Nice update vid! Also 100% it never made since that new upgrades for old trucks have to be found in 'end game' maps. Like, if you want people to use the trucks, make the upgrades accessible!

Yep, Transtar is a beast now, it goes almost everywhere on maps without deep mud. Haven't found the other two upgrades yet.

Thanks for the different perspective on things. Of course any upgrade is most welcome, however; in case of the Transtar, with the two upgrades it received it graduated from (Completely Useless) to (Still Useless). I mean at least we are heading in the right direction. If we were playing I-80 Runner, the Transtar would be my number one pick, but on Urska River it’s not going to get very far. Which is too bad because cause you can have a crane, sideboard, and a trailer. Awesome video…

Do you have to own the phase 6 dlc to get these upgrades? I was playing in the transtar yesterday in Alaska and it shows the bigger tires, but it doesn’t mention a raised suspension in the garage. Not even a “explore X region to unlock”

I honestly just use the Offroad gearbox on everything. I tried the Highway before, but I just don't like it. I think it's to fast for me personally in regards to this game.

In my experience with the open diff trucks like he Transstar and CTL9000, Low doesn't seem to work for them. Since these trucks is always trying to shift the power from left to right, he wheel spin in Low is actually to low, it's so low these trucks often end up with the jittering drive wheels and not really progressing. If these trucks had diff-lock Low would be viable, but as they are now with the open diff I get my best results from Low+. In the mud these trucks actually need that increased power to the drive wheels.

But yea with this upgrade I think the Trabstar and CTL9000 has traded places. Where it used to be the Transtar was the #1 worst with the CLT9000 being #2, I think the CLT9000 might just be the new #1 worst now.

For me Transtar upgrade is the most interesting. probably without this video i haven't paid much attention to it, so thanks for that Nate!

so i picked up the upgrade and fixed the aramatsu forester. Sure it struggle in deep snow&mud, but I was surprised at how agile and stable it was in the woods, with van body addition on top. Take advantage of these features to get the most out of it. overcoming obstacles is easy as long as you get enough speed haha.

seriously, after this Transtar is sure to be one of my favorites.

All base game trucks should have upgrades available in the store or at the basic game maps. What Saber do is force people to buy DLC to make some OG trucks viable and that is disgusting.
