The leaks personally kept me playing I had no faith for updates but seeing the new legends and thier movement abilities made me actually have some faith that respawn has a plan.

I mean, if there wasn’t leaking, a lot of games, including apex, would have a smaller player base. Leaking allows hype to form around coming things, getting people excited for what’s to come, giving them a reason to keep playing. As long is the leak isn’t TOO big, it actually can help respawn’s marketing.

Leaks for a new event is like a hype train and its good but what I didn't like was the one guy that leaked 3 years worth of content including the many legends and several unreleased weapons

I work for a AAA game studio’s marketing team (not Respawn) so I’m of two minds. On one hand, datamines/leaks are just a reality of the job and they do hype people up, but on the other hand they often spoil plans that marketing/product teams have been cooking up for months, and that can feel bad for us, because it feels like wasted effort (even though there are still tons of players who don’t see the leaks and are still just as surprised).

This is the only way I know what's coming in the future, and it consistently gives me something to look forward to; even if I stop playing because of any number of factors (bad matchmaking the last few games, bad internet, dickish randoms) I always keep an eye on leaks, and share them with people I know who want to hear about them.

I think good because sometimes I get bored of having no content a couple weeks and then the leaks make me less bored and more excited

I wouldn't mind the leaks as much if every social media platform didn't shove "recommended content" at me 24/7. As much as I try and avoid spoilers for future seasons, there's always a suggested video or some rando in the comment section that just belligerently ruins surprise after surprise.

I think it’s a great thing. Casual players still find about events as scheduled but the rest of us can choose to see info sooner. All about choice

its honestly good for the players to know what they are goibg to get further in the game its its just gives ppl hype and if they want to make anything better is just put a road map like any good developer and everyone would be happy.

Apex legends is a fun yet expensive game to play. A legendary from an event costs 1800 apex coins for 18 dollars total. Since there isn’t a 18 dollar amount to buy from apex we have to spend 20-25 just buy a skin and have some left over

My main reason why I like leaks is cause it gives us time to get our ducks in order aka make sure we save our apex coins and not buy some stupid shit when cooler stuff is on the way

It’s not like a movie or story driven game. Leaks can only build up more hypes which is a good thing in my opinion.

For Free-To-Play games like this, I actually love seeking out the latest leaks and info because it makes me excited for what's to come, especially new Legends. However, I would hate to come across leaks for story-heavy single player games like Resident Evil.
