Concur with the Saucony Xodus Ultra 2. I run a lot of trails down here in Australia, use the Hoka Challenger 7 for training, and the Xodus for races. Happy new year Doctors of Runnning!

The Xodus Ultra 2 is my go to trail running shoe. It has the perfect fit and have enough cushioning. The first version was good but didn't feel secure throughout the run. I'm waiting to see how the 3rd version performs when it releases in 2024.

Saucony Xodus Ultra 2 overall. ASICS Trabuco Max 2 when going long. Nnormal Kjerag for short. Keep up the great work guys. Happy new year 🎉

Don’t know what it is with the Ultrafly but for me, that shoe made my feet hurt after a while. Never got comfortable wearing them. I also expected some energy return or pop in this shoe but it just seemed dull and lifeless for $260. Their Nike Pegasus Trail was their best trail shoe for me. Best plated for me would be Tecton X2. Love the NB FF More Trail for long non technical trails.

Im a big fan of the Peregrine, i have the 13s after my 12s fell apart. Can't imagine trail running with rigid shoes like the Utrafly, i guess they don't suit muddy, rocky and technical terrain
