Hyvää ystävänpäivää to everyone’s Finnish bff on YouTube, Aleksi! Thanks for your content. It’s been one of the things helping me get through some tough times. (Also, I know my greeting is late since it’s already the next day in Finland but it is still February 14th here in California).

I think as foreigner from Italy that Finnish are the most down-to-earth people. They really do respect all cultures and i appreciate that!! Indeed i am currently studying Finnish in order to getting integrated inside Finnish society! It has always my biggest dream since my childhood to living in such a stunning country like Finland!! (:

i wanted to immigrate to finland long before i knew you existed Alexi. You can blame my finnish friends for that, and the only reason im not there yet is because of what you just said, i dont want to take advantage of the system. i want to contribute!!! I'll only get there if a job offer takes place.

Thank you. Totally understand not having seen the Northern lights yet. In Cape Town our most iconic feature is Table Mountain and you'd be surprised how many locals have not been to the top.

The most what I like about thus guy is how simple he explain things about finland 🇫🇮, I cannot agree more with everything you said after living six years in finland
Maybe we should meet and shoot a video from a foreigner perspective? Or just have a coffee.
You helped me a lot so BIG THANKS 😊

If only talking about the video name/topic. Finland is friendly, and Finns are, especially if you are trying to learn and speak Finnish. I'm doing business with Finland (import from FI to EST), and I have very positive experiences and emotions. Ice is broken when you write a letter, even with dummy Finnish. If you are afraid of poker face - stay with fake smiles in California. :)

Hi Aleksi, love yor channel. I'm Hungarian myself and have lived in England for a long time with my Englsih husband. But I have lived in Finland and understand the language quite well.
Reacting to your advice regarding Finns who don't like foreigners living in their country. You say "ignore them, that's their fault". I understand that you are trying to help, and saying "you can't control their thinking, only your own behaviour" is logical. But please don't make the same mistake as the Brits did: a huge number of people were hostile towards the new EU citizens from Central Eastern Europe, and when we talked about it, we were told the same: "those people don't matter, just ignore them". And then it was too late, people voted for Brexit, the main reason being "uncontrolled immmigration from Eastern Europe".
Finland as a community should not ignore the xenophobes or racists among them, either. The majority of the people are nice, interested and helpful, but those who aren't, should be noticed and written about in newspapers etc. Their problems need to be listened to, and maybe corrected if needed. By politicians if needed.

I would personally love to have a face to face meeting with someone who actually believes Finland doesn't exist. But as I live in Finland, so unless I happen to be on vacation somewhere - That would be a pretty curious thing to experience, and would raise several many questions.
