What does it take to kill a Volvo

We all know how safe Volvo cars are, but a European junkyard has decided to put it to a test by crashing, jumping and rolling the life out of an 850 Wagon. While government tests use automated systems to crash new cars, the guys in this video did so with a driver behind the wheel. Apart from what looks like a safety harness and roll bar for the driver, it seems like this car is otherwise a bone stock.

OK I have long heard the safety of these vehicles, I went and bought a fixer upper v70 for the kid's commute to and from school. The repairs are very simple and parts are affordable from auto parts stores.

Many years ago I survived a crash at almost 100 mph in one of these, an 850 T5. I came out of that unscathed. Of course I use an XC70 D5 nowadays and I've no interest in any other car manufacturers.

Did you manage to kill it in the end? Top Gear did many destruction-attempt tests on a Hilux. To no avail. Shame they also didn't do one on the Volvo. Mind you Clarkson was supposed to drive a Volvo into a concrete wall at 30mph. But the Speedo wasn't working and he ended up driving into it at 40mph...demolishing and going over the wall ("er guys I think I missed the wall")...and then he reversed off.
