My unflirty Sims have had more success flirting than romantic ones...

what I dont like about these is that there should be characteristics in other sims that might make them attracted to unflirty trait sims

One way to bypass the trait is to wait until a holiday (Season needed) where they change the name of interactions, for example Talk Like A Pirate Day. Then, you'll be able to flirty without worrying about the trait.

But, I can imagine some people might see that as more of a bug than a benefit though.

I wonder if two unflirty sims would be more likely to become friends and ask to be whoo hoo partners without high romance level

As far as I experienced it is just the labels that vary not their interactions or animations. I use it for storytelling purposes only, it's quite useless tbh

Where did the unfliry trait come from I’ve never seen it but I also haven’t played in like a week
