Around September 1971, Brian May met up with an old friend, Terry Yeadon,
who was involved in the setting up of a new recording studio in Wembley called De Lane Lea The studios needed musicians to try out the new equipment they had installed - and preferably a band who could play loud ! The deal was that the musicians would record using the equipment, and potential studio users would be on hand to hear and watch them.
In return for their services the band could record their demos for free. It was an opportunity not to be missed and, of course Queen jumped at it. Not only would they be able to make the all important demo tapes, but they would have ample occasion to meet producers and engineers, people who could be vital to their future. The rest is history.............

I always have considered the first Queen album to be a perfect album. Every cut is awesome.

In The Beginning Freddie's art was very unique. I have no words for his talent and spirit.

I, ve never heard this song before but it confirms to my spirit that Freddie is with Jesus and how much he is loved by Christ. Freddie loved people and he was loved by them. Just think how many people"s hearts have been touched by this song and all those who have been turned to Jesus for eternity. Queens music is fantastic, but this is Freddies best! What a treasure and a blessing this song is to all those who hear it.

I had a feeling this song was inspired by Jesus Christ Super Star. This confirms it. I wonder if Ted Neely saw this?

I never heard this particular version, WOW! Does anyone know if this song was ever performed live? Also, I have a CD with the full first album, and at the end there's a bonus track "Mad the Swine." Can someone tell me about that song and why it wasn't included on the first album? Thanks in advance.

Who knows maybe Freddie gave his heart to the lord on his death bed and repinted his sins
