Ahh, this cover is reviving my old-time Disney animation favorite as well, The Little Mermaid. I haven't seen the new movie, so I am being biased. Haha! Also, this interpretation is affirming me of Kat's agility and musical dexterity in her storytelling. She sounded quite magical, and pure. And yes, she looks gorgeous here. I didn’t see the film yet, from Halle’s live performances, she does the “acting parts” very well live. Maybe you should watch that.

As for Katrina, I’m not surprised she smashed the song. I was pleasantly surprised at how well she did the acting. She could’ve definitely played Ariel herself at some point in her life. I think that Halle has the perfect voice Fred currently at her young age.
