Making a TS100 Soldering Iron Stand

I have a TS100 Soldering Iron and needed a stand for it. Here is the story of the making of the stand.

Although the stand was made from a copper water pipe, The template is flat so there is no reason that the stand couldn't be made from a flat sheet and then the front part rolled to shape.

The Black Nickel blanking plate was bought from Amazon.

Nice idea. I see what you did for feet in the Thingiverse files. One thought I had when you were first showing the wobbly bit was sharpening up that bottom angle would give you a *little* more stability. Not as much as extended feet or mounting to a plate, tho.

thanks for an idea, I was thinking pretty close same. Also with copper tube, but about 20mm diameter and solder washer inside, but smaller diameter looks better.
I have that black/gold/etc china tip cleaner with steel wire, I like it. I've put some wight inside and mount this stand on the top.

Thank you for the great idea and video. I kinda like the idea with the wrench, could just cut off the unused side bent it and mount it to a plate similar like you did with the copper pipe. With a stand like that I can finally use the iron even more. Was that a 13mm wrench by any chance? Thanks again.

Hi. Thanks for the video. I have ordered a TS100 and waiting for it to arrive. I like the stand and video. Do you have a printable template so we could print one out and make one please. Would be great to make one for my collection of soldering irons. I dont like to have any one the same and one for each different iron handle. Thanks. Ian
