Want to speed up or slow down a video you’re watching on TikTok? Now you can! Watch this video to learn how to change the playback speed of videos on TikTok!

To change the playback speed of a TikTok video, open the TikTok app and go to the video you’d like to watch. Then, hold your finger down in the middle of the screen or tap the arrow icon on the right to open a pop-up menu. In the menu that appears, tap Playback Speed. If you don’t see it right away you may have to swipe sideways to see more options. From there you can choose what speed you want to watch the video at: 2x, 1.5x, Normal, or 0.5x. Tap the speed you want to play it at. The video you’re watching will then play in the selected speed. This will only change the speed you’re watching the video at for yourself, and only for this watch session. The speed will automatically reset to normal once you scroll to the next video.

This is how my TikTok works but me gf can just hold the left side of her screen and it will speed up the video for as long as she holds it in

Hi, I have a really weird issue. All the TikTok’s I try to watch are all sped up. I noticed this when I uploaded a video, and noticed the video was sped up unusually (I didn’t enable the video speed) and to confirm is a put the videos together (the one on tiktok and the one in my camera roll) and it was sped up like if it was a sped up audio. I really need help, I don’t like my videos being weirdly sped up
