i agree. silver is undervalued. i lean heavily towards silver at around 70:1 or higher and lean towards gold at anything less than 60:1. in between i buy the deal. lower premium gets my business

If you're trading silver for gold at 65-1 you're getting ripped off or ripping yourself off actually. The dollar has lost 96% of its purchasing power. So a dollar is worth .04 cents. So an ounce of silver at $25 is .04x$25=$1 and a silver eagle is stamped that.
Here's the problem. Gold is $2, 000 so .04x$2, 000=$80 but a gold eagle is stamped $50 not $80. If you're trading silver for gold at anything over 50-1 you're doing yourself a disservice to say the least.

I guess it depends on how much money you want to tie up for 10-15 years...as that's probably how long it will take you to get your money back after adjusting for the front end premium and the back end less than spot you will receive...

I only stack as much silver and gold that I can afford without charging my precious metals on credit card.

Sounds like you and I stack very similar. The ratio is a great way to go. My Silver buy numbers are 80 to 1 and Gold Buy is 60 to 1. Between those numbers, its the lower premium. If someone buys Silver at 80 and swap it for Gold at 60, they are up 25% regardless of spot. It also knocks cost average way down.

I would say anywhere up to 500-1000oz Ag is reasonable and desirable, after that you should definitely go more for Au 👍

I say if you can’t bug out with your silver in one trip, you’ve purchased too much. If it take you 10 trips to load your one ton pickup truck with silver…you definitely you should’ve bought more gold instead.

im askin others but whats your thoughts on some silver based on mintage and when it goes up in value say for libertads (if you got them cheap that is) and say silver from the new zealand mint like say the tree of lifes? i bought a tube of trees since they were put out on sd for really at the current moment a good price but then i see previous years and they go up. so im wonderin of some places see those kinds of things and are willin to trade and get extra out of them. or do those things fall in the collectable section and see diff people?
