After doing the unthinkable and getting no helpful advice from those whom he'd rather forget, something in Steven snaps as he feels the only way to make the change he needs to feel better... is destroy it at it's source. But I'm not sure a song will fix this one...

Tiny great detail; Garnet's portrait moves into her battle position about a half-second before the other gems, a great reference to her using her Future Vision and realizing she is going to HAVE to fight.

I love everything about this song

First off, Steven being so fed up of how everyone manage to live their life to the fullest while he is stuck in constant fear and paranoia of a disaster to happen and for him to fix so that he can feel he still matters to others because without that no one will need nor want to be around him and will end up leaving him to do something else with their lives

This thought finally pushes him over the edge and decides to take Jasper's advice and that the only way to solve all of his problem is to destroy anything and anyone that stands in his way as revenge for everything he's been through and for not being repaid back in turn

When the Crystal Gems finds out about this they are obviously horrified of how far Steven has fallen and they hope that they can get through to him and save him and make him see that there are people that does care about him and that there not gonna leave him in the dust but Steven is far too gone to see any of it

I also love that when the Crystal Gems are singing along with Steven trying to get through to him they're lines are from songs they sung from the show, for Pearl's It's "Do It For Her" with lines like "We Do It For You... And We'd Do It Again" from that song, Pearl teaches Connie that you have stand by and protect who you truly love no matter what even if it cost you your life, now she's sings that they were always there to protect Steven when he was still a kid and that if they have accomplish that then she hopes that they can do it again just like before

For Amethyst's It's "Tower Of Mistakes" with these lines "Is There Something We Can Do?" from this song, when she sings about needing to be stronger to feel important like when she fuse with Garnet and they nearly lost control because of it and she felt a little guilty about afterwards, she also feel that Garnet is better off with somebody else to fuse with like Pearl with form Sardonyx even tho she feels a bit salty about it, now Amethyst sings that she wants to know that if Steven needs anything that they'll make it happen for his sake

And last for Garnet It's "Stronger Than You" with the line "Lo-o-ove, All The Lo-o-ove, You're All We Lo-o-ove" the song tells that Garnet that even though she's a fusion she still loves herself despite Jasper's protests, she sings that fusion isn't a cheap way to become stronger but a sense of love and trust with the gem your fuse with truly making the fusion stronger and powerful, now she sings that even though that Steven said that he's not that kid anymore, Garnet said that they'll still love him no matter what and that he is still made of love and joy that brighten up there day and now they want to return the favor

Heck even from beginning to end there's a slight sound of the song "Change" when Steven sung to Spinel that even though he isn't able to change her he knows that the only person that can change Spinel is well... herself, it also reflect that to himself too at the end of the movie that there's no happily ever after and that there is still work for him to do and he needs to accept that, but now he has have enough of it and finally snapped and decided that if he can't live happily then why should everybody else?

Anyway love the song 10/10

Dude, I love the parallelism of this scene with the scene of Rose protecting Garnet and Pearl with her shield, the differences between both scenes are very interesting. Great job!⭐

I love how all the crystal gems sing their themes, but with slight lyrical changes
'Is there something we can do' - Amethyst's *Tower of Mistakes*, original line was 'Is there something I can do?'
'We do it for you' - Pearl's *Do it for Her*, original line was 'You do it for her'
'All the lo-o-ove' - Garnet's *Stronger than You*, original line was 'I am made of lo-o-ove'

On my rewatch, also noticed that right at the end, steven says, 'That I... I've already changed.' Not only alluding to most of the idea behind the au (?) but also to the song that he sung in the SU movie to Spinel, 'Change', with the original line being 'That I... I can make a change'.
I find it ironic since based off of the vibes of the video, Steven himself is going through a bit of a raging negative change that is immediate and harmful, similarly to Spinel, rather than a progressive good change that comes naturally. But unlike Spinel, he has nobody to bring him back to his senses, let alone in song form. Nobody except the gems, yet they couldn't be the voice of reason for him like he was for her.

I know these things are probably obvious, but this is mainly just a personal note for myself because they're really cool details that I'd like to look back on in the future. I also wouldn't mind others opinions, so I'll probably leave this comment up until I feel like taking it down

Yo, in the start of the song, when the Gems first appear, Garnet changes poses before everyone else! Of course, that doesn't hold up to the end of the video, but i think that might be a nod to the fact that Garnet can see branches of the future, therefore, would react faster?

I like how this AU is a deconstruction of the idea where Steven embracing Jasper's violent worldview and shattering the Diamonds would solve his problems. Instead of using violence to save the day and make everyone happier, Steven becomes a second Jasper and completes his transformation into the villain of his own story; Steven rejects his gem heritage by committing genocide against all of Homeworld and embraces his humanity in the worst way possible by deciding to wipe out all Gems in the universe.
