Our House is 75 years old. It had Bricks in the roof along with wooden slab.
It was constructed using LIME, SODA, BEL Pulp, Jaggery, Soda.
Cement was not used. Still it is strong enough to withstand for the next 50 years and so forth

By chance if one breaks in the middle of the roof, it will be very difficult to replace the brick. You will have to remove the bricks from close to the border.
