Drifting Clouds from Gapuwiyak, singing in Djambarrpuyngu & English
Drifting Clouds is an eight-piece band from North East Arnhem Land, with members coming from the homelands of Bunhungura (Gapuwiyak). Lead singer, songwriter and keyboardist Terry Guyula formed the family band in 2023 and they have wowed audiences at some of the NT’s top festivals (Garma, Barunga, Stone Country, Bush Bands Bash) with their ethereal synthpop sound that mixes it up with reggae, country and rock.
Singing songs about community life, culture, Songlines and Dreamtime stories, Terry and his bandmates craft music to share with other First Nations people and beyond. They are excited to self-produce and record their debut release.
