I do ASMR makeup sessions a lot with my daughter using imaginary makeup to help her fall asleep and she LOVES it! She has also fallen asleep to the audio of this video about ten times so far, so hopefully you find it relaxing as well. This is probably a weird comment, but I really appreciate how, while you're always so generous in your asmr videos, you're also cognizant of practicing boundaries. The more obvious example is how you respect the watcher's boundaries of course, such as asking if you can touch their face, but what really surprises me is when you gently maintain *your* boundaries - for example, offering to lend your makeup "as long as [we] take really good care of it."

Maybe it was just a playful comment, but I never realized something like that would make an asmr video feel so much safer and cozier. I'm just coming out of a volatile and emotionally abusive relationship where I had no boundaries and would get heat for setting one even as innocuous as that, and meanwhile I was left in the dark to the boundaries of my partner who felt I should just know what is or isn't ok for them, and I'd have to tiptoe around that mindfield to the point that even accepting kindness from him was a risk for setting him off for some unpredicted reason. I don't even realize the anxiety I've developed around accepting kindness from anyone at all and that comment just gave me a little more insight into the way that maintaining your own boundaries isn't cruel or heartless at all, it's an extremely kind thing that builds trust and safety between people.

Anyway, that's my overshare for the day. I appreciate all the work and care you put into your videos - it really shines through.

Confession: I have insidious insomnia due to a few chronic pain issues, so I find myself watching and rewatching my favorite videos of Julia doing makeup, this is now up there with my other favorite, when I had "my" makeup done on a very windy cold night. I borrowed very comfy warm socks and after makeup "we" enjoyed some popcorn and TV. Julia, I wonder if you know just how much your work and talent means to some of us who are here not just for the ASMR, but for the sheer relaxation and calm you provide.
