Robert Zohn has been a gentle and kind businessman for literally decades. He has been in business for so long because of how fair and competitive his prices have been across his product line. For anyone making negative comments about him you obviously don't know him as a businessman or as a person.

People are attacking Robert Zohn ? Why ? He seems like a real nice, genuine guy. I'm absolutely calling him in 2021 for the 2021 Sony A9H Master Series. He does the QC right there in the shop and won't ship the panel if it's defective. He sold me when he said he does the QC when he did the shootout with Spare Change and Brian did with him pitting the Sony A8H versus the LG CX.

I have a Viera Plasma and picture it’s perfect after 12 years keeps on working fine.

From the comments I’m reading, everyone seems to think these are mass produced consumer displays. The ones sold by Robert are NOT consumer models and are NOT the same mass produced models available in other countries. They come from Panasonic professional display division. Anyone in another country bragging about how they own a Panasonic OLED and want to welcome us in the USA to the Panasonic OLED “club” think again. Anyone who has bought a Panasonic OLED, then paid Panasonic to hand pick their panel, sent it to Hollywood to have Hollywood color scientists calibrate the processor and ordered a larger custom power supply to eliminate ABL, that person can welcome us to “the club”. Why so expensive? Here’s why? 1) you’re paying a premium to have Panasonic hand pick the best of the best OLED modules. No panel lottery. These panels are in the top 1% regarding a clean and uniform panel. 2). How much would you pay to have a Hollywood colorist and a Panasonic engineer come to your home to calibrate the processor? People routinely pay hundreds to a thousand dollars to have their panel calibrated for color accuracy and complaining about the price when Hollywood and Panasonic has done the work on the processor for us already. 3) there is no ABL (Auto Brightness limiter) on these displays. Anyone who owns an OLED knows how frustrating it can be when the screen automatically dims. These Panasonic’s have a larger power supply so they never dim. The ideal customer for this TV is a purist. Not a gamer. If you’re looking for a TV to do it all, this TV is not for you. If you’re a purist and want a clean, accurate panel that displays movies with the directors intent, this is your TV. No need for the latest and greatest HZ or JZ2000. Accurate is accurate. Brian doesn’t like this TV or it’s price tag because he’s a gamer who wants overly saturated colors. This is definitely not for him. I don’t care if you just bought the latest Panasonic JZ2000. It’s not the same as the GZ1000U offered by Robert and will most likely not be as accurate. It’ll be brighter and it will have HDMI 2.1. Not important to a video purist. Stop bashing Robert or Value Electronics for offering a premium and professional display to customers who can afford it and want the best and most accurate representation of video content. Stop criticizing a man who has spent the last few years pleading with Panasonic to allow him to offer these “Professional Displays” to his high-end customers. Yes, he will sell to any customer, but his main customer base are wealthy discerning consumers. Leave the man alone and stick to a Black Friday $300 Westinghouse LED deal at Walmart and stay out of the high-end video stores. Stop window shopping for a Rolls Royce on a Honda budget.

If they truly have zero banding and tinting I’ll be buying and for me it’ll be worth it. I still think lesser models should be free of these defects at the prices we are paying. And yes, Robert @Value Electronics is a great guy and I’ll only buy from him.

It's funny. Majority in the forums there in the US keeps on saying hope panasonics are avail. That they will pay a premium because its worth it. Now that someone brought the brand there then alot yaps and yaps. I have a business and im passionate at it. As I see Robert is a really passionate in his. And business is business. You pay bills and earn. And to think Robert really pushed much for panasonic to finally give in. Gotta give him his due respect for his efforts. Help consumers help retailers. Treat it with honesty. That is real passion

I’m still watching my Pioneer Elite Kuro 50 inch plasma. Works perfectly after 12 years but now want a bigger screen and am having a hard time choosing between LG and Sony. I’ve not had a lot if luck with Sony in the past. Their 32 inch CRT HD TV went south after four years as did my Sony SACD 1 after five years. Sony’s response was they don’t support them any longer. Looks like it’s LG.

Panasonic makes great TVs. Easily the most underrated TV brand in the world.

I bought a Pioneer AVR and a Panasonic plasma from Robert at VE about 9 or so years back. Such a great guy. Have a Kuro plasma and LG OLED now. JVC PJ in the theater.

While I do not believe Value Electronics is doing something wrong or weird but I do think Panasonic is lying by saying these GZ1000 and GZ2000 are any different than the one we had in Canada. I'm pretty sure they just are trying to pass the leftover not sold here as "premium super special" TV. Thats the part where I have a problem. GZ2000 has always been a beast of a TV with a custom heatsink and what not. However, the GZ1000 is NOT custom built and not cherry picked from factory. Adding a premium to the price is totally fine but making stories about Hollywood is not ok. I mean can Panasonic prove that these tv are any different than the same models in Canada or Europe?

Robert Zohn is one of the nicest guys I have ever talked to. It was based on his recommendation that I got my Sony X950H and so far it's been money well spent thanks to him. Him and his wife are super people so I cant recommend him enough for when it comes to tv's and electronics in general. That being said. Panasonic is the best in the business and you get what you pay for and I am sure their OLED's are the best in the business. But the price is WAY out of my price range. But for anyone who gets one of these bad boys you are one lucky person.

One issue is that Panasonic specially has marketing literature on their consumer page that they are used as large-format client reference monitors. Now we are finding out that the marketing is false and that it's the pro level line of monitors not the consumer models.

Correct insight!
Does the consumer want absolute correct color? My guess is many want more saturation & pop than correctness. I spent 20+ years in studio/audio engineering. We mastered through pretty flat (correct) monitors/speakers. But consumers always listen to that finished song & added "audio saturation", crank the bass, turn up the treble.

Since I mostly use my current OLED for gaming, I feel like the Panasonic GZ1000 would be a downgrade for me. For 3000 dollars HDMI 2.1 really should be included.

In my main viewing area of my home I am still using a Pioneer Elite Kuro Pro-141FD (60") that I purchased new in 2009 at $6k. I also have a LG OLED 65" C8 in my man cave and recently added a LG CX 48 for use as a gaming monitor. In my master bedroom we are using a Sony XBR-HX950 55" that cost me $3, 400 from the Sony store (remember them) back in 2012. The Sony still provides a great picture and was retired from service from my man cave once I bought the LG C8 65".

Once the time comes to retire my Elite Kuro we will be looking at the 77" variant of the OLED series. Maybe Panasonic will have a 77" OLED. Back in the early 2000's I remember buying a 42" 1080i Panasonic Plasma from Costco. I used it mostly for console gaming. Great TV back in the day.

I don't think the price of the Panasonic OLED is out of line but it will appeal to only a select segment of buyers. My co-workers cannot believe that I spent $6k on my Pioneer Pro-141FD back in 2009 and it is only a monitor and provides no sound. On the flip side of the coin I was able to purchase my LG OLED 65" C8 new for $1, 700 on sale at a military base retail store ( I am retired military).

Screen uniformity on my GZ1500 is perfect even though it was not hand picked. I paid 1800$ for it. I am very happy Panasonic is back to US, hoping they will became easier to get everywhere. It took me a lot of effort to get one, living in a GodForsaken country like mine.

I've been waiting for Panasonic OLED but Damm.

Been trying too upgrade my Viera but get massive eye strain and headaches from the LEDs. Tried a CX, TCL, H9 and returned them all.

Nothing looks like a Plasma. I need the best upscaling. Would that be Sony?
