I love how when the Beatles started how enthusiastic you can tell Lennon was, he was so passionately into it by the time they got to 1967 his ego had died and he kind of was reinventing himself in all aspects and wasn’t as much of the leader like Paul became imo

Cant believe they never professionally recorded this awesome cover in the studio. They absolutely nailed it and so much of it just sounds like early Beatles. I love the bands later material starting with Pepper but there's something about their earlier stuff that has me tapping my foot more.

John said the Beatles were performers back in those days. He felt they were packaged, sold like soap, after they moved beyond the clubs and you could tell he was nostalgic for the old days. As for myself, I just like being reminded that there was a time when we were all young. I wouldn't want to re-live my life, but it's fun to visit the past now and again, even if the times weren't as simple as we sometimes make them out to be.
