In this lecture, we will cover Class 6 geography NCERT chapter 6. "Major Landforms of the Earth" (Part 1)

In chapter 6, we will study about the major landforms of the earth - mountains, plateaus, and plains. In this first part, we will cover what are landforms, and how are they formed by the internal process and the external process. Then, we will study what are the different categories of landforms - mountains, plateaus and plains, based on elevation and slope. We will also study the details of mountains - what are mountains, their different aspects and features like glaciers, mountain ranges, mountain systems, and the difference between hills and mountains. All the points of the chapter have been explained in a very easy manner. This way, it will be very simple to understand these concepts for class 6 exams, as well as, various competitive exams, like UPSC, bank PO, cds, ssc gl, etc.
