Great video!! I faced some kernel panic within the CE VM (disabled CPU in VMware Workstation). I increased to 32GB and the problem was solved.

Hello! I am having issues where the CVM is unreachable? When I issue the ifconfig -a command while logged into the AHV host, I only see the host IP and the 192.168.5.1 IP which I believe is to get to the internal switch.

Do you have any insight for me here? What may be the issue and what fixes I could try? And is this method for installing CE still usable given the newer versions of AOS that have released?

- @9:34 - what's the command for 4 node system ?
- if doing a 4-node system, do you have to modify the hosts file to make each node find each other or do you just use the ip-address?

I have a problem when i install the Nutanix CE iso, at minute 4:22 in your video it boots like a bios interface, that doesn't show up for me, just blank terminal window saying CentOS 7 and I can run commands. How do I get it to show the interface as well so I can configure IPs?

hii bro.. I tried installing nutanix ce-2020.09.16 on dl380 gen 9 RAM 254GB and 2x32core processor.
with schema storage :
Bootable USB SanDisk 32GB
SSD Samsung 256GB for CVM
HDD Seagate Ironwolf 2TB for Hypervisor
HDD Seagate Ironwolf 18TB for Data

but the installation stops and gives an error message "ERROR Please supply 'Node Serial'..."

Have you ever experienced this when installing Nutanix directly on the server?

Hi - Where did you get those IP address 192.168.0.140 /141. I'm unable to ping my CVM from the host machine. Hence unable to proceed with the community edition installation. Appreciate your help

Hi, I'm trying to connect via putty(Tried using CVM IP address and the destination host is unreachable where as i could connect using Host IP address) so using host ip i have tried using nutanix user account by entering the password as "nutanix/4u" and it is showing access denied.
